Present Down Works was started by a woman named Annie Michelson.
Anne was hired by Eddie Bauer in 1969 and contributed to establishing the first down test laboratory, and the development and launch of equipment to test the resilience of down has had a profound impact on current industry standards for down measurements for clothing manufacturing.
